Our in-home pet care services provide a wonderful, stress-free alternative to pet boarding, and the perfect solution for any of your travel plans.
We provide pet care in Pinehurst and the surrounding areas for all kinds of pets – from horses to hedgehogs! While dogs, cats, small pets, and horses are our most common pet care patrons, we also routinely care for fish, birds, reptiles, and other household pets.
No matter your pet’s care requirements, or routine, we’re here to provide expert care while you’re away. Embrace the comfort of daily pet care updates, including:

Travel Care Visit (trips & vacations)
A minimum 30-minute visit. An in-home care visit for dogs, cats, small pets, reptiles, birds and fish.
After your PetWise Introductory Consult, schedule a visit via your PetWise Client Account.
Partial Overnight (7:30 pm - 9:30 pm)
A 2-hour late-night visit. Customize with add-ons to suit you and your pup’s needs.
After your Meet & Greet, schedule a visit via your Precise Pet Care Account.
Overnight Care (7:30 pm - 6:30 am)
A full 11-hour overnight visit. We stay with your fur-babies all night. Includes feedings & medications, potty breaks, playtime, and litter box scooping (if needed).
Customize with add-ons, such as enclosure cleaning or grooming to suit you and your pup’s needs.
After your Meet & Greet, schedule a visit via your Precise Pet Care Account.
TLC Overnight (6 pm - 8 am)
A full 14-hour overnight visit for young, old, or anxious fur babies. We stay with your fur-babies all night. Includes feedings & medications, potty breaks, playtime, and litter box scooping (if needed).
Customize with add-ons, such as enclosure cleaning or grooming to suit you and your pup’s needs.

Enrichment Visits
Choose a 1-hour or 3-hour visit. The perfect blend of engaging pet playtime, mental stimulation games, and all the love & snuggles for your fur baby during their in-home “staycation”.

Does Travel Care include a dog walk?
Not automatically, though your pet’s Travel Care can be tailored to include a fun and energy burning Dog Walk. You can add a 15, 30, or 45 minute walk to any of your pet’s visits for quality, stress-relieving, fun.
What's included in a Travel Care Visit?
A Travel Care Visit (for trips & Vacations) starts at 30-minutes and includes –
- Feedings
- Potty Break
- Play-time & TLC!
- Medication Administration (if needed)
- Litter Box Scooping (if applicable)
- Mail & Trash Collection
There’s a minimum of two visits per day required for dogs and horses, and one vist per day for all other pets. Elderly, young pets, or those with know medical needs may require 3-4 daily visits depending on their needs.
Can you accommodate on-demand visit requests?
Our clients are called “PetWise Pet Parents” for a reason!
We can usually accommodate on-demand care requests, for our established clients.
This does depend on availability! If you aren’t a current client, you’ll need a PetWise Introductory Meeting prior to booking any services.
We understand that life is ever changing. We’re here to help support you, and your pet. Our flexible scheduling generally allows us to fulfill on-demand pet care requests submitted through our client portal.
Do you offer specific visit times?
We offer two-hour visit timeframes to offer flexibility and best accommodate busy schedules.
- Morning Priority : 7 – 9am
- Morning: 9 – 11am
- Noon Priority: 11am – 1pm
- Afternoon: 1 – 3pm
- Evening: 3 – 7pm
- Evening Priority: 5 – 7pm
For specific or gaurenteed AM/PM care times, an overnight care booking is needed.
Do multiple people come out or just one sitter?
To ensure your pet’s care is always met, your pet may see 1-2 of our sitters per pet sitting stay. This allows us to provide backup care in case of emergency, and to allow our employees time off as needed.
The only exception is last-minute bookings, with less than a week’s notice, which are subject to sitter availability.
I have a large breed dog. Can your sitters handle them?
Yes, absolutely! We’re experienced with larger pets. We routinely handle 150lbs+ pets, and even offer farm and equine care.
How do I communicate with my sitter?
All communication is done via our Precise Pet Care App or the office phone. Oh, and you get updates after EACH visit!
At YPCC, we keep you and your pet connected, even when you’re away from home! Our client software enables our pet-parents to follow along with their furry family members’ visits. Each YPCC care journal includes updates with GPS mapping for dog walks, pictures from our visit, and sitter communication.

What's your cancellation policy?
Vacation Care is pre-booked to guarantee your dates on our calendar. Therefore, if a trip is cancelled in totality at least 48 hours before the start of care, a 50% Care Credit is applied to your account. This credit will automatically apply to any future visits.
Any cancellations with less than 48 hours notice before the start of care do not receive Care Credit.
What's your additional pet pricing?
There’s a +$5/visit for each additional pet. For example, a Dog Walk for two dogs would start at $35/visit.
Are there any holiday surcharges?
Yes, holidays are some of the busiest seasons for us. In order to accommodate, schedule, and pay our sitters a fair wage for working holidays, there’s an additional charge (e.g. +$10/visit for pet sitting visits) during holiday care dates. See our holiday calendar to plan accordingly.
Can I extend my trip, once I've left, and on additional care visits later?
Yes, though care is subject to our availability at time of request. We cannot guarantee a specific time or if the same sitter will be available; however, we always do our best to keep your fur-babies comfortable and well cared for.
How far out can I book my pet's care?
As far ahead as you like! We recommend booking at least two weeks ahead of time to guarantee care. For busy holiday seasons, plan to book at least one month ahead (or as early as you are comfortable)! The calendar fills up fast.
